Building Strong Foundations for Lifelong Learning
Foundation First Tutoring is a personalised tutoring service focused on creating a safe, supportive learning environment tailored to each child’s needs.
The project focused on creating a professional and trustworthy digital presence for a new tutoring business entering the market. The goal was to give parents confidence through a calm, approachable brand and a clear, informative website experience.
One of the biggest challenges was moving away from an AI-generated logo that lacked personality, consistency, and brand direction. The business needed a stronger identity that felt genuine, cohesive, and reliable.
The final deliverables included a refreshed brand identity, updated logo system, supporting visual assets, and a fully custom-coded website designed to improve clarity, trust, and enquiries.
The website was built from scratch in PHP using my Amazium CSS framework, with responsive layouts and basic SEO setup across page titles and descriptions.
The branding direction focused on creating a friendly and reassuring experience for parents looking for educational support for their child.
The original logo lacked structure and felt generic, so the identity was refined into something more cohesive and recognisable. The updated logo system introduced a cleaner visual style alongside a smaller brand mark and supporting leaf-based brand assets derived from the existing tree concept.
A soft, education-focused colour palette paired with approachable typography helped create a calm and professional feel throughout the brand.
The result is a visual identity that feels approachable, supportive, and far more aligned with the professionalism parents expect when choosing a tutor.

During the design phase, three distinct homepage concepts were created to explore different visual directions, layout structures, and branding applications before refining the final experience.
